Spring Youth Beach Volleyball League is back and bigger than ever! Due to requests for options for older athletes to continue playing, we are offering two divisions of our Beach Volleyball League- one for 5th through 8th graders and one for 9th through 12th graders. As this is the first year we are offering this expanded division, some advanced 8th graders may be offered a spot in the high school division to balance numbers.

There will be a Skills Evaluation and Team Selection for both divisions on April 28th, with 5th-8th graders at 2:00 and 9th-12th at 3:30. Practices begin May 7th, with each team having one practice weekly either Tuesdays or Thursdays at 5:30 or 6:30 pm. Games will be held on Sunday afternoons beginning at 2:00, on May 19th, June 2nd, June 9th, and June 16th. Game days will be double headers, with each team playing two sets of games each week. Each team will be scheduled for at least eight regular season games, followed by a end-of-season single elimination tournament, scheduled for June 23rd.

Practices will be guided by Craven County Recreation program staff. Each team will need a Volunteer Parent Coach who will help with practices and manage the team during the games. Team Managers do not need a background in volleyball, just a willingness to help. If you are interested in being a Team Manager, please let us know below!
