2025-2026 Winter Youth Basketball League Dates

Registration Opens: Monday, September 22
Registration Closes: Monday, December 1
Late Registration: Tuesday, December 2 through Wednesday, December 10
Skills Evaluation: Tuesday, December 9 (9U) & Wednesday, December 10 (12U)
Practices Start: Week of December 15
Games Start: Saturday, January 17
Registration Fee: $40.00 (October 1 through December 1); $50.00 (December 2 through December 10)
Team & Individual Picture Day (Optional): Saturday, January 24

Craven County Recreation & Parks is excited for another season of the Craven County Youth Basketball League! This Winter, youth basketball will be offered for boys and girls, ages 7-12.

The 9U Skills Evaluation will be held at the Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary gym on Tuesday, December 9 (6:00pm) and the 12U Skills Evaluation will be on Wednesday, December 10 (6:00pm). These are not tryouts; every registered child will be placed on a team. The purpose of the Skills Evaluation is to provide evenly skilled teams and fair competition.

Practices will begin on Monday, December 15 and will be held at the Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary gym. No practices the week December 22-26 & week of December 29 - January 2. Teams will practice one night per week for one hour. Individual practice night and time will be dependent upon team placement and coach availability.

Games will begin on Saturday, January 17 and will be played at West Craven High School.
