2024-2025 Winter Youth Basketball League Dates

Late Registration: Monday, December 2, 2024 through Wednesday, December 11, 2024
Skills Evaluation: Tuesday, December 10, 2024 (7-9 years old) & Wednesday, December 11, 2024 (10-12 years old)
Practices Start: Week of December 16, 2024
Games Start: Saturday, January 18, 2025
Registration Fee: $40.00 (October 1, 2024 through December 1, 2024); $50.00 (December 2, 2024 through December 11, 2024)
Team & Individual Picture Day (Optional): TBD

Craven County Recreation & Parks is excited for another season of the Craven County Youth Basketball League! This Winter, youth basketball will be offered for boys and girls, ages 7-12.

The 9U Skills Evaluation & Team Placement will be held at the Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary gym on Tuesday, December 10 (6:00pm). The 12U Skills Evaluation & Team Placement will be held at the Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary gym on Wednesday, December 11 (6:00pm).These are not tryouts; every registered child will be placed on a team. The purpose of the Skills Evaluation & Team Placement is to provide evenly skilled teams and fair competition.

Practices will begin on Monday, December 16 and will be held at the Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary gym. Teams will practice one night per week for one hour. Individual practice night and time will be dependent upon team placement and coach availability.

Games will begin on Saturday, January 18 and will be played at West Craven High School.
